Meet Your Master Trainer - Jeff Malzahn

Jeff Malzahn moved to the Raleigh, North Carolina area in 2009, where he continues to reside and raise his amazing daughters. Jeff is the Owner and Master Trainer of Blue Line K-9 in Raleigh, NC. His love for dogs has become more profound throughout his many achievements. Jeff started life with a strong desire to help animals, this ultimately led him to his full-time calling in Dog Training.

As a young adult Jeff began taking a very bold interest in canine care. During college Jeff made the choice to switch paths into law enforcement, with a goal of specializing in K9 handling. He quickly honed his skills, in his police career, alongside a very special Belgian Malinois named Jake. Jeff worked with Jake throughout his time as a K9 handler to gain several accreditation’s. It was through these experiences that Jeff obtained his knowledge in all aspects of canine training and handling, from K9’s to household pets. With his knowledge and skills, Jeff knew that he could help families build strong, reliable bonds with their four-legged companions. In 2019 Jeff retired from the police department and began his new full-time career, helping dog owners in North Carolina to establish training that not only helped the dogs and their people, but allowed them to thrive in many circumstances.

In 2020 Jeff met and began working with Michael J. Soler and realized they have like minded goals to help build dog and people relationships. Through this meeting, Blue Line K-9 expanded to Raleigh, NC and Joppa MD. Today, Jeff trains out of a beautiful and uniquely balanced facility in Garner, NC. When not training dogs, you will find Jeff playing sports with his girls, actively seeking adventure with his own pups or adding a new and exciting addition to his facility.
