Mark Martinak ★★★★★ Susan Longo ★★★★★ Theingi Tun ★★★★★ If you want to have a great healthy lifestyle with your dog take them here! ALL the trainers and staff here are amazing, extremely knowledgeable, respectful and so very kind to the dogs and owners. You can trust Blue Line with your dog. I did a HUGE amount of research finding the appropriate place to train and board my dog before actually committing to Blue Line. I drive 2 hrs just to bring Ace for training or boarding. I wouldn’t trust any other company with Ace.Darlene Tarr ★★★★★ My dog was scared of everything and everyone. We're making progress. Wonderful people.Karen Szymanowski ★★★★★ I enrolled my German Shepherd last year in one of their training courses. He graduated but after several months, I need additional help. All of the staff are amazing and put me at ease and we came up with a plan of action to get Tucker back on course and to help me gain confidence in handling him. Great place - thank you!Diane Watson ★★★★★ Did a favor for a friend. The dog loves it!Tammy Tozer ★★★★★ Blue Line K-9 is AMAZING. Russ and Stephanie are absolutely fantastic. My dogs were always good, they just needed some confidence, but their owners…needed some training. If you are willing to put in the time and effort this training could save you in ways you didn’t even know was possible. I can’t thank Russ enough for all his guidance and help when we needed it. He has helped General and Willow so much and for that there are NEVER enough Thank You. Thank you for bringing such an amazing program to CMC.Gwendolyn Saylor ★★★★★ Blue Line K9 has been an integral part of our dog Oscars well being. I cannot stress this enough. About a year ago we needed some pretty intensive training and Blue Line was there to help, I honestly don’t know where we would be today without them. Oscar was and is a very special case. They have given us the tools we needed to handle our boy and as a result he is living a happy, content life. Complete with “work” , structure and of course play… They just really know what they are doing there. Knowledgeable about all things dog. And really quite talented at helping us humans understand our canine companions as well. We have found them to be a wealth of information and support. Our trainer is very special to us and has become an extended part of our pack. So happy to have found such a great facility and trainers.Ashlyn Beasley ★★★★★ Amanda is without a doubt one of the most natural “dog people” I’ve worked with! My pups were instantly accepting of her and responded so well to her techniques and advice. She’s gentle and patient which meant I had no trouble trusting her with my puppy. The sessions are catered to individual dog/family needs so there was no time wasted. Highly, highly recommend giving her a call!Geoff Metcalf ★★★★★ Amanda is remarkable. Our Golden (Bella) was very territorial and doorbell sensitive. She would bark and chase deer along fence line and unresponsive. THAT all changed FAST. In short order Bella has changed for the better. She still chases deer, but if I call her name, she immediately comes. I don't even need to correct her outside. We are still working on 'Place' but she has improved significantly and making real progress. We are very pleased to offer a big FIVE STAR rating and welcome any queries.T Seamans ★★★★★ Amanda is wonderful. She responded immediately after I left her a message. I was nervous as I have a GSD, but she put me at ease with a plan and the training has gone better than I could have expected. Amanda communicates during and after training. Here are a few pictures from Luna’s training. I highly recommend Amanda for all your training needs.Maria Mauriello ★★★★★ Amanda is my go-to for all things dogs! Not only does she have a deep knowledge about dogs and dog training, she truly LOVES dogs and helping them learn to be their best selves! She has been an invaluable resource, not only with my personal dog, but with several of my foster dogs. When one of my adopters decided to bring a second dog into their family and the two dogs didn't get along, I referred the family to Amanda. Under her guidance, the dogs are doing great and working towards a more peaceful coexistence. Bottom line: If someone asks me to recommend a dog trainer, Amanda is the one I refer them to! You and your canine family members are in great hands with Amanda!!Kim Orr ★★★★★ I reached out to Amanda for my dogs aggression issues and anxiety. He is a rescue and had a pretty awful history with his previous owner. He’s very timid and protective of me. With Amanda’s help, I’m able to be confident in him around new people and other dogs. She gave us all the tools we need to make sure that everybody is safe and happy.10/10 recommend if your looking for a trainer!!!Kelly R ★★★★★ Amanda is fantastic! She has made a huge difference in how our dogs interact with each other. She works with positive reinforcement and is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!Mike ★★★★★ Highly recommend. Russ does awesome work and has a great program down.Marla Rushing ★★★★☆ Very nice people. Unfortunately were unable to board my senior dog at the Singer Rd, Joppatowne, MD location. Unless you enroll your dog for training classes they don't provide boarding services. But they did refer me to Hickory Kennel in Harford County for boarding/kennel services.George Bowman ★★★★★ Rudy Carroll ★★★★★ Well run training facility , with kennel's. Employees there love there dogs. And I guess most important our dog loves going there.Tony Turner ★★★★★ Best dig trainers ever!Debbie Carroll ★★★★★ Our puppy loves this place and so do we! They work with him for the day and he gets to play with his friends in a safe controlled environment. He also comes home tired which is a bonus.Cheryl B ★★★★★ BLK9 has been a lifesaver! Our dog came from Iraq last year, full of fear and anxiety which presented as aggression. She is a large dog and was very hard to handle in every way. In just a few short months, we have a different dog!Everyone at BLK9 has been wonderful to work with. They are very knowledgeable and responsive. Working with both our dog … and us has been a great experience.Tracey Foran ★★★★★ Mike spent HOURS on the phone with me to help me with our English mastiffs behavior issues. I was very stressed out about our upcoming trip because I wasn’t sure I’d be able to have anyone take care of our boy while we are away….. Thankfully, after talking to Mike, and all the suggestions he gave me, I’m much more confident that we will be able to work this out and my dad will be able to take care of him for us! Will be updating soon!Tinylobster123 dont now ★★★★★ At this point, Blue Line K-9 is family! They have been a life saver for us! Our Snoopy loves everyone at Blue Line! We wouldn't trust anyone else with him. Thank you for ALL you have done for us! We are eternally grateful!Bonnie Gandy ★★★★★ Love,Love, Love this place 🐕🦺🦮❤🏅👩✈️👮♀️I am very impressed with there amazing techniques and positive Training ,yealding quick responses to the training techniques applied .. No Quick fixes though you have to be willing to keep up with the New learned training as well. Very rewarding and valuable experience for your PET and your whole family as well...and follow up refreshers available if needed you will never feel left in the dark or on your own . I would Recommend bluelinek-9 to anyone looking for non frantic, valuable , and only positive results after training is complete.Jessica Evans-Smyth ★★★★★ I brought my rescued GSD to Blueline in January of 2021. She was a little over a year old and was an abuse case from an Amish puppy mill. There had been instances where she bit people, and other dogs, and as an owner it was the most terrifying thing I’d ever endured. I was terrified I’d lose my baby, and I hated how scared she was. Blueline K9 helped me identify that she was indeed fear aggressive and developed a plan specifically for my dog. We started with K9 Country Club to boost her confidence level and help her realize not everything was a threat, and then moved onto the Ultimate training program. My girl finished her training in the Summer of 2021, and to this day I still take her to Blueline 2 days a week. Now the rest of my dogs go there as well, especially my working breeds. Whether it’s something big or small Blueline can handle it. If I could give them a 100/10 I would. They’ve not only given my dogs the confidence they need, but as an owner I have it too, and that is priceless in my book.Their entire staff genuinely cares about your dogs the same way you do. There is no other trainer I would ever trust with my dogs. Hands down, they’re the best in the business and no one will tell me otherwise.Lyndsay Ames ★★★★★ Everyone is very knowledgeable, friendly, understanding, and accommodating to me and my pup at Blue Line! We have really enjoyed our experience. My pup has been challenging in many ways and everyone at Blue Line is happy and ready to jump in and help us.William Lake ★★★★★ Very through, helpful, respectful, and most importantly handled my Beligan malinos puppy with love as if she was theirs! I cannot stress it enough how much I felt at home at blue line k9!!FrontLineK9, LLC Michael Bogoslavski ★★★★★ Some of the most knowledgeable and personable trainers I've came across in my over 18yrs working with dogs. Highly recommend for all your dogs needs.Lance Page ★★★★☆ Your dog will receive excellent training. The reason I deducted a star is because the office portion of the business is almost unpalatable. Once you start working with the trainers you will be glad you endured getting your dog in. I own a care dog. I was able to train the care disciplines I need and never asked them to. The owner diagnosed the behavior issues we were having and his staff has taught me and her how to work through and reduce them with constant training and reinforcement. Without Blueline I would not have an obedient dog that I can take out in public to perform the service needs I have.Edward Dolan ★★★★★ Helped a lotHelen Levins ★★★★★ Love working with Russ. Cooper looks forward to his training sessions and canine camp!Carson Wright ★★★★★ Quality training, at reasonable prices. They are often very busy though, so make sure you are proactive in booking.Art Wharton ★★★★★ Tamira Patterson ★★★★☆ My dog was a hot mess express before coming here. Ivy and the staff did a wonderful job calming her down but leaving that puppy spirit!Dennis Rothouse ★★★★★ Excellent trainers!!Lindsey Walker ★★★★★ AmazingaTony Testerman ★★★★★ Allie Nelson ★★★★★ I can't say enough about how great our experience with BLK9 has been. Our 1.5 year-old German Shepherd, Stella, gained so much confidence throughout her time with Teresa at the BLK9 training facility. This confidence has greatly decreased her reaction to other dogs & helped with her ability to focus on us with many distractions around her. Walking Stella prior to her completion of this training program was difficult but is now significantly easier. It was clear to me that Stella loved working with Theresa and that the staff at BLK9 really cares about dogs. I'd recommend BLK9 to anyone looking for a training program that sets their dog up for success.J Pendergrass ★★★★★ So my dog and I have been here twice. My dog has major behavioral problems that include attacking strangers and other dogs. He has never bitten anyone, but not for lack of trying. On the first initial meeting, the lead trainer (he might be the owner) explained his methods to me as he led my aggressive dog who was actively resisting on a leash. Within less than 10 minutes, my dog was sitting peacefully beside him, and ignoring other dogs and other people. Then when I pointed it out, he took my dog over to the other dog and my dog did not lunge on the leash. I brought my dog back for doggy day camp, muzzled of course. He was very anxious, shaking, hiding behind me when I dropped him off When I picked my dog up, there were several things that I noticed-- 1. They handed me his muzzle and told me he didn't wear it once that day. 2. He was surrounded by people I don't know that he met throughout the day and he was calm and happy. What I saw was the dog I see at home, which I have never seen outside of home. 3. He was chill. Not anxious. Not hyped up. Not on alert. Just chill, confident and the way a happy dog is supposed to be.Zoe Burger ★★★★★ Our girl graduated from and is doing very well with the Blue Line K9 program. It was a lot of work for both her and I, but she is much more responsive and her recall is usually 100% better. I'm so happy I chose Blue Line K9 to train our dog.Allison Snyder ★★★★★ The friendliness, personal attention, and overall quality of Blue Line K-9 is amazing! Teresa went above and beyond, meeting me halfway when I had to move back to my campus over 2 hours away from their establishment. Also, she has this way of encouraging and building confidence that makes the time during training and the transition into training in life so effective. The difference this training has made on both my life and my dog's life has been immense, and I cannot thank Teresa enough. If you are considering doing dog training, Blue Line K-9 is your answer! I know I will continue to come back for their open training and pack walks to continue building my dog's trust (and lessening his scared reactions), comfortability around other dogs, and my own confidence with him. Thank you so much Teresa and Blue Line K-9! Barika misses you all! #MuzzledDogsAreNotBadDogsKerri Deshazo ★★★★★ Love this place we saw Mike and he was absolutely fantastic his knowledge of dogs was outstanding he recognized what was going on with our pet right from the the start he took his time with us to let us know what things we needed to work on with our pet. I absolutely would recommend this place if you need training or you just need to find out what is going on with your pet. Please make a apt and go here. Thank you again Mike.Lora Brockmeyer ★★★★★ I took our dog to there today for a behavioral assessment and I have to say I was very pleased with the service provided. Everyone there was very professional and I could tell they were very interested in helping with my situation. I was beside myself to see our dog was calm and interacting with one of the trainers when I walked up. I will definitely be signing our dog up for day visits for socialization skills since she had none.I felt no pressure whatsoever to be “sold” any programs or training sessions. Everyone I spoke to seemed to have wanted to educate myself and family members on how to train at home if I wanted to. I feel our dog would definitely get the socialization skills she needs by visiting the faculty to teach her.I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for professionalism, knowledge, and warm welcomes for you and your fur baby!Clara Strong ★★★★☆ My Cane Corso, Dax has been through both the Puppy class and the Ultimate Training with good success. Can't wait to do the pack walks and some other activities when restrictions are lifted. Teresa is such a great trainer. You can really tell she loves her job.Gabrielle Karikas ★★★★★ I haven’t worked in person with Judd yet due to the circumstances of the world right now. However we speak on the phone daily & he is patient & beyond helpful!Scott Kelly ★★★★★ Nice placeLori Hill ★★★★★ Dawn Hines ★★★★★ Love this place! My chocolate lab is very well-trained and they helped through the whole process. Melissa was fabulous. Her knowledge and experience was greatly appreciates. I highly recommend them. Especially if you want people who will listen to you and your puppy's needs.Shannon Webb ★★★★★ S.J Palumbo ★★★★★ I called Blue Line for advice on a situation where our dogs had been fighting badly. Mike had returned my call promptly. I told him our situation in detail and he gave me a number of thoughtful options that would best fit our family situation. He was very generous with his time and not at all bent on "making the sale". In fact he had suggested there are behavioral changes we can do on our own of we are disciplined and consistent. When we were done speaking I felt hopeful and encouraged.Professional , compassionate and knowledgeable.Amanda Rose ★★★★★ Mason Holquist ★★★★★ T Alvarez ★★★★★ Jessica Massarelli ★★★★★ Our German Shepherd was extremely anxious and never listened unless she felt like it. She barked like crazy at any stranger and though she was never aggressive it was certainly scary to anyone who didn’t know better. She was an embarrassment and we weren’t ever able to take her for a walk because she’d act like a crazy dog. We sent her to the 10 day program and she came back to us a completely different dog. Her trainers said she was super nervous at first but picked everything up quickly. Now we take her on walks and she barely gives other dogs or people a second glance. Other dogs bark at her like the crazy dog she used to be and she just keeps on walking completely unfazed. She’s no longer dragging us around when she’s on her leash- whenever she starts to pull she listens to the commands and circles back towards us. She listens when we change directions and follows us. She’s definitely less anxious now that she understands we are in control and can focus on the commands we give her. There’s still some work we have to do but Blue Line gave us all the tools we need to make her the best girl she can be! Melissa was so helpful and answered all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure Lily succeeded. We are so grateful that now we can give our girl the best life possible! This program was a lifesaver!Mike B ★★★★★ Realistic, friendly dog training. Not only will your dog benefit from this training, you will learn too.David Brown ★★★★★ Alexandra Nelson ★★★★★ I am so grateful to have found BLK9. I had been struggling with my Lab’s behavior despite all of the research, effort, and time I had put into trying to train her on my own. When she turned 2 and I could no longer excuse her actions for puppy behavior, a friend of mine put me in contact with Mike Soler, the owner of BLK9. He came to my house to evaluate my dog and he almost instantly recognized that her anxious pacing, desperation for attention, relentless drinking/eating anything she could find, etc. was likely the result of an underlying health issue, and the actions that I had mistaken for poor behavior were simply mechanisms for survival. Sure enough, the following morning, my poor girl coincidentally had a seizure. Mike recommended that we hold off on training until her health issues were resolved because he knew that it would be wasted time and money otherwise. This is something that really sets BLK9 apart. They’re truly not in it just for the money (although I will note that you get what you pay for!). Mike could’ve easily signed me up for a training program that day, but instead he showed genuine concern for my dog and even gave me the resources that ultimately ended up saving her life. When she was finally stable, we began our training program. Something I appreciate so greatly is that Mike is dedicated to providing the results that are specific to my dog and my wants/needs for her. At our first session he asked me what my goals were and since then, he has uniquely designed each session in a way that enables us to reach those goals. Mike will go above and beyond to simulate any scenario that you and your dog may need help with - no matter how ridiculous it may be! For example, my dog and another dog had an issue with becoming territorial and aggressive around a certain body of water, so, without hesitation, Mike met us there and we worked to resolve the issue. I also appreciate that I never have to remind Mike about my dog’s quirks despite the fact that he works with so many other dogs and their owners. He knows that she needs frequent breaks without me ever having to remind him of her condition, he knows the activities she enjoys so he incorporates them into our sessions, he knows what my ongoing concerns are and addresses them at each session, etc. I also love that Mike is always eager to teach us more. After we achieve one goal, we build upon it and move on to achieve the next one. My dog and I leave each lesson knowing what we are working towards and what steps we need to take to get there. Mike will also encourage me to ask him questions as they come up between sessions because he is just as invested in your dog’s progress as you are. The best part is - my dog and I actually enjoy training now. Mike doesn’t just take charge and do the work himself, he equips the owner with the tools they need to train their own dog, which simultaneously fosters an unbreakable bond between you and your dog. My dog and I both used to dread going for walks, but now it’s one of our favorite things to do. A year ago, I had a stranger yell “are you walking that dog or is she walking you?” and now, almost every time we go to the park, at least one person will compliment her behavior. I thought my dog was a lost cause but Mike gladly took on the challenge and has provided us incredible results that I really thought were impossible. I highly recommend BLK9. You won’t find another team as dedicated and passionate about teaching you and your dog how to achieve your goals, all while making it fun for the both of you. I am so proud of my dog’s results and I owe it all to BLK9!Terrie Laubach ★★★★★ The trainers truly care about our dogs and us. They WANT us to achieve success! Theresa is fantastic! No pressure, funny, friendly and explains why we do what we do!Eric Tanner ★★★★★ JD Esce ★★★★★ Melissa Thomas ★★★★★ D O'H ★★★★★ Caring trainersKim Bratter ★★★★★ I am more than pleased with the training my GSD Zev has received from Mike. Zev is my 3rd GSD but he is the first to be trained by Blue Line K-9. What a difference a trainer makes. The training is all based on fun with serious results. Do not hesitate. Just do it!!!!!Gynormus ★★★★☆ Michael has a clear understanding of k9s, a passion for thier well being and the need for proper training, particularly in large breeds. We look forward to continuing to work with Michael and Blue Line K-9 Dog Training.Megan Hunt nee Hickey ★★★★☆ shuvlhed 81 (shuvlhed) ★★★★★ Rachel Churn ★★★★★ Kelsey ★★★★★ Christina Hercek ★★★★★ Teresa has now trained both of my dogs and we couldn't be happier. Our younger dog had some fear issues with people and just made it through his first Thanksgiving in a room with 20 people with no problems. We are beyond thrilled!!!Adam ★★★★★ Required training and rehabilitation for one of my Alaskan Klee Kai, then I wanted to get CGC for my other Klee Kai, and they were amazing! They approached the situation with a lot of patience, understanding and professionalism. Due to their outstanding training I will continuously utilize them for any training needs and ensure all of my friends know about it as well. Russ Norcross Owner/Trainer
Russ Norcross resides with his family in Cape May, New Jersey. Russ is an avid believer in the strong bond between dogs and their humans. Russ’s passion for the bond to training relationship drove him to a career in dog training and ultimately to becoming the Owner and Master Trainer of Blue Line K-9 Cape May, New Jersey.
Russ started training as a child, alongside his family who raised Rottweilers. He learned very early on that the bond you have with a dog is what builds the training you and your dog are capable of. This realization pushed him to develop and push past the skills needed for foundational obedience for the house hold pet. Russ spent 20 years in the police department, most of that time as a K9 Handler, Trainer and leader for the police departments K9 teams. His achievements in and out of the police department saw him reach several achievements and certifications, including the development of national certification courses and a full accreditation course curriculum through Garret County Community college in Maryland. As Russ’s career grew, he was motivated to help families develop the bonds with their dogs that he knew would give them success in more than everyday obedience. This motivation moved Russ to begin training dogs outside of the police department as he neared his retirement from his service as a police officer.
Soon after Russ’s retirement he joined Michael Soler in Blue Line K-9, Inc. and opened Blue Line K-9 Cape May, New Jersey. In this venture he is excited to help more families build solid relationships with their tail-wagging family members and help them develop solid training in avenues that are fun and enjoyable. If Russ isn’t out and about working with a client, you will find him spending time with his family and pets, helping work on and develop more trailing and tracking experiences for handlers or taking the time to learn more about canines and the dog training industry.
